I heard Marist High School located at 4200 W. 115th Street Chicago, IL 60655 is one of the best Catholic high school's on the South Side but at the same time Brother Rice high school at 10001 South Pulaski Road
Chicago, Illinois is good too.

What are the tuition fees per year at both Marist and Brother Rice?

Are they're better Catholic high schools on the North Side?

I think St. Ignatius has the best reputation of all Catholic HS's in the entire metro area. DePaul College Prep is getting a strong reputation now too. It is getting more selective in enrollment.

St. Ignatius is supposed to be a good school.

I doubt the education at Marist or Brother Rice is any better than at a public school at an adjacent suburb. The only difference is the kids went for a sport or their parents can afford to pay Catholic school tuition.

They are probably good alternatives if you live in the Chicago city limits and can afford it.

Marist is a terrific high school, and co-ed. Brother Rice also has a fantastic reputation but is not co-ed. According to Google, Marist tuition is currently $12,600 and Brother Rice is $12,000. I attended St. Rita High School on the South Side of Chicago over 20 years ago for my first two years of high school. It was a solid campus, good faculty, disciplined Catholic education, and the athletics programs were very strong. However, I preferred co-ed so switched to a public school. My brother-in-law graduated from St. Ignatius and he enjoyed his experience there.

Do not use Google. Go to the admissions section of the website of any school, and the tuition and fees should be listed, as well as financial aid and payment plan options.

Marist and Brother Rice are decent. St. Ignatius the best Catholic high school, IMO, but it's selective and costs $19,500/year. Loyola Academy is in Wilmette, but has a large number of kids from the north side of the city who commute in. Fenwick in Oak Park is also a top choice, but it's not in the city.

Here is a ranking I found. Not sure their criteria but I think this generally matches public perception:

This ranking matches my understanding as well. I've seen tons of great people come out of St Ignatius and Fenwick.

Since this is in the Suburban Forum, Nazareth is another good option along with those mentioned.
