700 still gets u decent in LG, but u need to move quick as the good ones get scooped up very fast. Our neighbors just sold theres (on N. Spring) and did not even put a sign up...

This is a prime location, walkers paradise -> 4 minute walk to station if even that. Maybe 7 minute walk to downtown LG. Ogden elementary school which is GREAT. Plus this is around the corner from western springs and Hinsdale in a very desirable historic part of LG... Make sure to actually go and walk the areas you are looking at feel out the area vibe, walk to downtown, feel out the downtown(you will spend a lot of time there) and walk/drive to station - because you will do that a lot also just like someone else on this thread said. This was great advice... We followed same when transplanted from out of state...

Certainly will be higher taxes in LG - but I'd live there if I could afford it. LOVE the downtown. They are opening a grilled cheese place, right?

This one's a little bit further from downtown (15-20 minute walk) but 5 minutes from the Stone Avenue station and in the Ogden elementary school boundary. Lovely street.
