I'm planning to relocate to Oak Park from Minneapolis this year and am currently considering a job in Naperville. Is the commute attrocious or is it do-able? By car? By train (if it's possible...)?
Appreciate any information. Thanks!

Where in Naperville? Its a big town. Its probably a 30 minute drive from the Harlem exit (in Oak Park) onto I-290 to the Naperville Rd exit on I-88. There's no easy way to take a train as the two towns are on different commuter rail lines.

The best bet would actually probably be to drive down Roosevelt. I'm not sure how long it would take.

Getting out in the morning won't be horrific, but coming home will. It does depend on where you're going to be in naperville, it also depends on where you're coming from in Oak Park. Irregardless, it's still a bit of a haul. On the real bad days you could take Roosevelt but the expressways would likely be quicker on average.

No real good train option unless you drove south to berwyn and picked up the metra there--but you'd have to make sure the business is near a station or has a shuttle.

My brother lives in Napperville and works in North Oak Park.
He is moving his office to Napperville as soon as he can, if thats any indication.
You may be better off driving from Napperville to Oak Park after 5pm, so good luck!
