We are empty nesters looking to relocate from Schaumburg. We have started to look in the area east of 59 around Prince Crossing & Hawthorne (Wheaton academy area). Noticed that there are some large pretty homes there very reasonably priced. Anyone have thoughts on this area? Thanks so much

Beyond the "listing price" be sure to check out the property taxes -- there are several different school districts whose boundaries all converge in that area. The tax rates are quite high and many of the school districts that serve that area are not desirable -- you could end up "buying cheap" only to be stuck with high taxes and less desirable schools...

Where you are looking the prince crossing area is very nice. It's a good location as far as being close to Wheaton and the other direction st Charles/Geneva for shopping.
