Default I'll second St. Charles as well (more)

When we moved to IL we rented a nice apartment in the complex called "AMLI at St. Charles" we had a mid sized apt, paying around $1100 a month. There were cheaper options as well. Includes use of pool and (small) fitness room. It would be quite close to Elgin. There's lots of restaurants and shopping right near the apartment complex too. Good luck.

No prob! What other pictures do you want? I have some of Geneva, but that city, like STC, is quite expensive too. Id be more than happy to post some pics if you want. Let me know.

AMLI has properties all over the midwest (and perhaps beyond) and are usually well-kept and run, but they charge a premium.
