This may seem silly but I feel the need to ask because I have been burned by this a few times at Metra Stations.


If I am at the Highwood Metra Station, and I want to get on the train that is going in the south direction, headed towards downtown, on what side do I stand (eastside or westside)?

Default Not sure how long ago you were "burned"...

Metra has long had permanent signage that clearly shows the inbound and outbound trains. For obvious reasons the trains never "run outbound on the inbound track". There are a handful of platforms that include "middle track" boarding but those rarely shift and anyone waiting for an inbound or outbound train would see the signage...
