I was curious why this district is so liberal to vote for Jan Schakowsky? The Democrat party rants about how the wealthy don't pay their fair share and the home values in much of this district are more or less reserved for the wealthy. I know Evanston is liberal, but I would think a place like Kenilworth and other towns would have more right-wing leanings.

You are not thinking rationally.

Kenilworth is tiny, so even if everyone there was a Republican and voted as such, it wouldn't
be enough to knock out Jan.

You also apparently have not heard the phrase 'limosine liberal'.

Rich people can be liberals They see the discrimination, poverty, and disadvantages that their poorer neighbors struggle with. They want to help and believe that government can be part of the solution. They might believe in the parts of the Bible that teach us to help others. They might not be greedy or selfish. They might believe that the party of the right is the party that supports racism, and anti-Semitism. They might believe in a woman's right to choose their own reproductive life. They might believe in equal pay for equal work and a minimum wage that will take someone out of poverty. They might believe that everyone should have equal access to health care. They might believe in the need to support our infrastructure so our roads and bridges don't fall down. They might believe Black Lives Matter. They might believe in funding our National Parks and clean air and be against fracking.

Is that enough reason for you? I can come up with more....

I can't find an avatar/emoji that rolls its eyes far enough.

I actually prefer comments from people that type/speak logically. Liberals don't usually do that.
