Hi All,

We are moving to Chicagoland this summer and I was hoping somebody could help me find out which if any school districts in Chicagoland teach foreign language at the elementary school level.

Ideally German, I know its a tall order.

Or French is a second choice.

I ask for these levels because my kids have had immersion in these languages where we are moving from, but I'd also be interested in Spanish if I can't find the above two--- or perhaps if somebody knows where they might offer German in middle school.

I think the Oak Park Schools offer these languages over the lunch hour-- and we will definitely look there. Just wondering if there are any other options.

Thanks for any help!

I'm in Wheaton and I don't know of any public schools offering German at an elementary level in the area, but there is a non-profit German language school not far from my house, in Naperville: German Language School Naperville. They offer classes to children pre-K and older.
