I have tried everything from going to expensive salons to doing it myself at home with professional hair color products and my grey roots are showing up before my first wash (within 48 hours of coloring). I have tried the grey magic drops from Sally's, I have pretreated my hair with the developer before applying the color, I only rinse out the color and then condition afterwards but nothing works. I have dark brown hair so the grey roots are very obvious and I am touching up every week. Please someone help me as I am a slave to hair dye and I am extremely frustrated. Please help me

This belongs in the "Fashion and Beauty" forum.

Obviously, your hair grows extremely fast. There is no remedy for how often you have to touch up, because you can't slow down your hair growth. There may be easier ways to do it though. I think there are crayon systems and other alternative methods of touching up roots that are easier.

Or ... embrace the silver and set yourself free.

Why not have your hair professionally foiled lighter? The grey might blend in with a lighter color.
