I'm curious about the minority community in Rolling Meadows. Are there a lot in Rolling Meadows and are they more scatter or more concentrated in certain area? Some of my friends said a lot of Hispanic in that town. We didn't see any when we were there viewing some homes. Looking to make an offer on this one house by Central and New Wilke, near Waverly Park

Thanks Cubssoxfan. I have test drove it once. It's only 5-10 minutes more than where I'm at now (Dundee and Rand). Also, I only have to be in the office 4 days a week with flex hours. I think I'll leave the house at 6am instead of my current 8am routine. This should make up sometime. Boss's also talking about letting us work from home 4 days a week. But I'm not counting on that, not yet.

Also, my kids are 2 now. We're not planning to stay there until they hit junior high (Carl Sandburg Junior High). We'll move likely move to Park Ridge, Arlington hts, or Glenview by then if I'm still with the same company. This is our starter home.

Sandburg's current scores aren't that bad: CARL SANDBURG JR HIGH SCHOOL: Test Results
I usually look at science and math scores. Schools with higher minority populations with kids who are learning English or with parents who don't speak it at home will often score lower in writing. But if science and math scores are good, then it tells me that the school has high expectations and is doing a good job of teaching. May be a false way of looking at it, but that's my take on ISAT scores.
