I am relocating to Vernon Hills the end of January 2013 and need to find a good dog walker for my 135 pound mastiff, who is
very sweet. We will be using the dog walker 3-4 days per week and doggy day care 1-2 days per week. I need someone who will actually take him for a real, brisk walk for 20-30 min, not just a leisurely 10 minute stroll. I'll be working in Buffalo Grove 2013-2014 and then moving to Abbott Park. Any recommendations for doggy daycare near Vernon Hills or those two work locations would be greatly appreciated!!

A quick google search turned up this company, Lake County Dogs. I have no first-hand knowledge of them, however.

I would contact that company now and ask for references. I think it's fair to want to plan dog walking in advance of a move. (I have a dog, and I know that I'd want to know that there's a good, reputable dog walking service in my community before moving.)

For doggie day care, we use the Petsmart Petshotel in Mount Prospect. Though that is too far for you, I know the VH location has this same service. We've been very happy, and our lab gets a full workout every day.

Thanks, semaj82. I have found two dog walking services and two dog daycare places that I will be interviewing in the next couple of days. One of them is Daddy Doggy Daycare, right around the corner of my house. I will keep the Petsmart in VH in mind, though--wasn't aware that they had doggy daycare.
