We've just relocated to Aurora from Atlanta GA, and I've found a perplexing issue that I can't find an answer on google for. I've NEVER seen an address like this before, but around this area, there are many places that have letters in their street number (for example, '34w113' was one I was trying to get to yesterday). My built-in GPS in my Chrysler vehicle won't let me access the letters when I'm entering a street number, and just dropping the letter out sends me to the completely wrong place most of the time.

How do I enter the number into my GPS to get somewhere near the correct address, on these addresses with letters in them?

Thanks for your assistance!!

Call your local Chrysler dealer.

I have never had a GPS that wouldn't accept the W (or E, N, S) in an address. If your dealer doesn't have a solution I would try dropping the first two numbers and letter; so instead of 33W126 just put in 126. I'm not sure if that will work, but it's worth a shot.

The reason for the "numeric prefix" is that this system designates the actual miles away from Chicago baseline roads -- 34W literally means 34 miles west of Madison...

You might try entering address without the letter, in fact addresses in Kane Co typically are setup this way, while those in DuPage have kept the W N or S designation... I don't know how many maps that do not allow for this would be trustable for routing info...

hmmm. My take would be that W. 113 is the street name

So I would enter 34 for the number and then W. or West 113th Street

I had this issue a while back, I think I used cross streets instead. Falcon Dr & Partridge Ln, Aurora, IL...for example.

There is system called H.E.L.P. that is widely known. Scroll down to 'what are the little green signs for" -- Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District

There is no 113th St in the general vicinty , in Kane Co the signs are an orange-red -- 34w113 Montgomery Rd, Aurora, IL 60504 - Google Maps

Yes, Chet is correct, that's the whole address. I didn't give the actual street name the first time, because where I was going wasn't important... I just gave the "numeric" part of the address. Thank you all for the info, I guess I need to call Chrysler to figure out if it's possible for their devices. Unless someone has successfully "faked" one of these addresses to their GPS and knows how to do it?

Small correction - 34W would be 34 miles west of State st.
