I am considering relocating to schaumburg. I am thinking about renting for starters. Does anyone have any recommendations? My daughter may be coming with me. She will be entering high school and is very interested in fine art. Most of the school districts in the area look to be pretty good. What schools have the best art programs?

not sure about the art programs, but Schaumburg High School or Conant are good, both better than Hoffman.

You can use a realtor to find an apartment. A Schaumburg realtor might know more about the art programs, or you can go to the high schools' websites.

I lived in Schaumburg for 3 years near Roselle Rd. and Valley Lake. The apartment complex at Village in the Park was decent enough and affordable. Good access to I-90 for transportation. Close proximity to restaurants and shopping. Community Room, exercise room, and pool were nice amenities.

Many school districts in the area are in financial difficulty, so a good fine arts program this year might be non-existent the next. When you are looking into which H.S. would be best, check to make sure the corresponding district is not in trouble financially to the point they are considering cancelling "extras". Also, make sure you choose to live within the boundaries that correspond to your chosen school.

Right now, populations are aging in the NW suburbs, so there is a bit of redistricting going on. This might be something else to consider so you don't get drawn out of your chosen school.
