Why did I mention these cities? Because the schools I have been in have a lot of Asian children from many parts of Asia.
India, Pakistan, China, Korea, Japan, Middle East. The only non-white population that I still don't see enough of or a lot of are African Amercians-although they are slowly becoming a larger % as well. I like the diversity around here.
this mirrors (including your observation about the African American community) what I see in the Glenview schools (which may or may not be the best reflection of the community because the schools tend to considerably less white than the community itself, that hardly being unusual and itself is a picture of how future demographics will play out)

Suffice it to say this area in the northwest suburbs has a strong Asian component.
SHS has a lot of Indians, Koreans as well. 15% Indian, 20% Chinese, 5% Korean

South Barrington....

"Asian Alone" is almost 30% in 2013, but I believe (from the makeup of elementary schools), the percentage has risen significantly in the last few years.
