At least they are keeping a local presence in the area.
although a oneyear lease is kind of short

Assuming they are vacating the area

I feel really bad for the employees. Lots of "hard core" telecom engineering types -- guys that un-ironically wear short sleeve shirts and pocket protectors. I suspect that if Nokia can figure out a way to integrate their space needs with the folks from NavTeq with the former Motorola guys there will still be some long term employees in the region but it could mean some long commutes for folks...

I predict many well qualified applicants for Apple and AT&T technitions making around nine or ten bucks an hour in the near future..

Seems to me the tech field will continue to grow and jobs I would imagine would always be in demand for the technical field.

You would think a company is going to be very careful with their networks and technical aspects as its a vital part of any organization.

To much at risk for a company to pay a low low end wage.
