N, S, E or W, whats your favorite suburb, and why?

Im gonna put a vote in for Geneva, its an absolute, world-class gem. I just wish I could afford to live there.

My fave things about Geneva: the river, the Herrington Inn, Stockholm's, the Gift Shop (Scandinavian), Swedish Days, the great shopping along 38 and also along 3rd Avenue, Goodys, the beautiful Victorians near downtown, the Southwest Trading Company, the Country Store, etc, etc.

Easily Evanston. By far. Nothing else even comes close for me.

Mainly because it doesn't feel like a stereotypical suburb, it has a picturesque location on the lake, and I've always enjoyed towns home to world-class institutions of higher learning and the atmosphere that goes with it.

There are many excellent suburbs, and Evanston is definitely one of them. Good choice!
