We'll be moving to Lisle soon and our landlord has agreed to let us put up a fence in the backyard. Any recommendations for cheap yet dependable fence companies? Or other temporary (1-3 year) fence ideas? Off the top of my head I'm thinking split rail with wire mesh tacked along the back. We just need something about 3.5-4 ft tall and not horrible looking. Doesn't have to look great, just not horrible.

How about invisible fence? It will keep the dogs in but nobody will see it. If the dog should get to the point where wire is buried, he will get a shock. Just takes a few tries before he doesn't go that far.

You might want to check out PVC fence. It's relatively easy to install and take out. It's not the best looking thing in the world, but much better than just wire.
