A 17-year-old Naperville teen was arrested and charged with street racing through a construction zone at 95 miles per hour in Naperville Friday night.

Kevin Eid was pulled over just before 11 p.m. while driving a black 2010 BMW eastbound on 95th Street, Naperville police Sgt. Gregg Bell said.

Ah com'on he's just a poor underprivileged kid living in a poor suburb. He probably had to beg daddy for 20 minutes to get him to buy him the beemer.

Aw, I wouldn't lose much sleep over it, I'm sure Daddy has friends who will get him out of it. Pathetic.

It would be great if they could put these drivers behind bars. A few years ago a repeat speed offender ended his career when he crashed and died. But it was revealed that he had a long history of such offenses, not just driving 10 over the limit but extreme speeding. Of course, in Illinois, clout rules.

Some people need to be pistol-whipped from time-to-time. The police should have curbed stomped him for being so selfish and putting others lives in danger.

He should have his license taken away.

Not only was he putting himself and his passengers at risk, but innocent drivers caught in the quasi drag race as well.

I hope someone tracks down his parents and asks them how THEY will punish him. I'd be interested in hearing what they have to say.

I sure wouldn't have paid his bail to get him out. Although given that they let their 17 year old drive the 2010 BMW with his previous history to start with, I'm sure they're just awesome parents.
