Hello,

I am moving to Chicago in 2 months and I am looking for an apartment to rent. My office will be in Downers Grove however I will need easy access to downtown as well. I am not looking to spend more than $900 a month on a one bedroom. I am thinking the Glen Ellyn/Wheaton area because it seems to be a reasonably priced area with easy access to Downers Grove and downtown. Does any one have suggestions on apartments in the area or areas they think would be good for me??

Thank you!!!!

It might be a little tough in wheaton or glen ellyn, but you shouldn't have much trouble in downers or lisle. Both also have train service to get you downtown.

Default $900? No kids? Close to Downers? Decent access to train?

Top of list would be WESTMONT, second is Lisle, third is Lombard. Then DG itself, though if you do want a one bedroom it might be similar in any of the towns for similar aged buildings. One bedrooms do not appeal to people with kids. The newer units in even towns with poor schools rent for more, the old units for more. Pretty simple formula...
