I have three new (like new) Chevrolet wheel covers and one way they are measured is shown in the photo.
I do not know what size rim they fit or what model cars. I'd expect them to be decades old due to the residue on the inside and maybe of some value. I'm not aware of 12 inch wheel rims going back to the 1950's and onward.
A friend speculated they could fit 14 inch rims. I question that due to the measurement in the photo. Thanks.

FWIW, the 1979 Chevette had 13" tires/rims

and the size # is of the surface the tire bead fits, not the rim outer diameter
IOW, the diameter of the tire bead itself.

Does the 12.5 inches in the photo lead straight to 13 inch rims with no doubt or could they have fit 14's?

In any event I looked around for the same type covers I have and never found a match via 100's of Google images for covers in the 60's and 70's.

Using what you found I did locate the same covers I have. Thanks.
