Once in a while I just want something different to drive, not to mention a bit less thirsty. IDEALLY, I'd really like to have my F-150 along with both a Corvette Grand Sport Convertible AND a CTS-V Sedan. To me, that'd be about as perfect garage as possible. Unfortunately, idealism doesn't pay the price tags...
I have a 3 car garage and my F-150 is pretty lonely.
Lol...I have an Explorer, a Grand Sport, and have plans to get a CTS-V sedan next...I also find German cars are overrated and overpriced...are we nearly twinkies?

Could be close! My brother lives in Dallas, what part of the state do you reside?
I appreciate German cars for what the are but I don't see the value in them either. The whole myth of "German engineering" is a joke, a German car is produced on an assembly line the same as an American car! I actually had an argument at Trader Joes with someone who actually believed that ALL German cars were produced by skilled craftsman...give me a break.
How do you like your Grand Sport? I love the Z06 look it has but I could do without the stripes on the front fenders.

Dallas area, too. There are no stripes on my car.
How do I like it...? Mmmm...well, I had an XLRV and I wanted a new car, but they stopped making it. So I looked and looked and looked...Porsche, BMW, etc. Everything was boring with no bang for the buck. Since the XLRV was a basically a Covette in a tuxedo, I figured I would get a vette and just load it with all the good stuff. The Grand Sport was the fastest that still came in convertible (or I woulda looked at ZR1 or Z06), so I got the LT4 package and put every single option on that car.
It is a bad-ass machine and a real head-turner (even in this area where everyone has a fancy-ass car). It is fast as heck. But the ride is nothing like the Caddy, and with my long commute on bad roads, that makes a difference.
It will do for now... I will buy the CTSV to o to work in. Makes more sense since I never put he top down on the way to work anyway. Just around my own par of town.
I am hyped about the ATS. I don't think I'll be in the market for an ATS-V unless I wait for a used one, but the idea of the 4cyl turbo model I think is going to be the hot setup for tuners. If they make it in a wagon body...

The coupe, wagon, and convertible are "allegedly" on indefinite hold while GM retains cash to try to maximize share price/value so that the government can unload its stake without taking a huge bath. Glad to see government ownership isn't interfering with business decisions.

I doubt it. They are most likely going to kill the CTS wagon once it gets bigger and more expensive. They thought about killing the CTS coupe too since they don't think fighting with the BMW 6-series is worth it for that small amount of market share. But I believe there will be a next generation CTS coupe.
As far as all the ATS variants, I have no doubt there will be a ATS coupe and sedan and convertible. The wagon is probably still just a maybe.
Cadillac's "denial" is so ambiguous that it could literally mean almost anything, which gets me to believing MT's report has some merit to it. I'd be a lot more convinced if Cadillac's denial were an unambiguous, preferably accompanied with a projected released date.

lol, how true. GM is probably the biggest rumor mill in the automotive world. It's off, it's on...it's dead, it's being released next month...it won't be available in a convertible, now announcing the new convertible...it will be on Zeta, on Beta, on Alpha, on Gamma, on Epsilon, on Theta...
