My husband is getting relocated from Forsyth County in Georgia to Chattanooga. We love living in North Georgia. They have great schools, low crime, conservative family values, affordable housing, growth, but still has a small town feel. I'm a teacher in the county with children ages 1-7. Where is a comparable place around Chattanooga/Cleveland area? We currently live on 5 acres. We are open to neighborhoods, but prefer them to have some space between the houses. We are looking to spend 250-300k on a home. Thank you for any suggestions!
Looking for good schools and safe area.

Smile Birchwood 5 acres, ,,Sale Creek price budget.

HELLO / WELCOME..... You do not mention what part of Chatt his employment may be near...... 5 ACRES of
land should be found East of Cleveland towards the lake / river , called BIRCHWOOD.. This area was sort of popular with Horse owners,, Also sort of Flat land which is a premium In East Tenn with the rolling hills.
2) On the west side of lake /River is SALE Creek.. $ 180 K budget should find a nice house... Maybe not full five acres, but quite a few would butt up to forest preserve, like prior BoWater timber tracts. Newer schools in Sale Creek are just finished.. Big Fire station for future growth...... North of here is smaller city of Dayton... Just last month TWO foreign manufacturing companies have announced relocating to Dayton. This region has the Four lane Rt # 27 running North & SOuth. .. Access into Hixson or city of Chatt is quite easy. . Just north of this is Graysville & Rhea county . land budget & taxes would be even Less.

I imagine this train left the station, but the closest to Forsyth County in the Chattanooga area is definitely Ooltewah/Collegedale/East Hamilton areas. Newer. Shops. Available land. $300,000+ houses. Solid Schools (East Hamilton, Ooltewah, Silverdale Baptist).

Schools comparable to Forsyth County would only be private/magnet (McCallie, Baylor, Notre Dame, GPS, Chattanooga Christian, CSAS, Boyd Buchanan, etc).
