All I can say is look it up on the internet. (Ringgold Tornado)
This is where I was helping clearing trees from the roadway.
The town is closed to everyone, it's bad. They say now 8 were killed.
The tornado went over White Oak Mt and into Cherokee Valley.
Homes over there took a bigger hit.

All I can say is WOW. I used to live in Harvest AL, and it was hit hard too, but it's crazy to see the footage down a mountain like that. I thought tornadoes couldn't climb mountains and that you were supposedly safe in a valley? That throws that theory out. I live on the back side of a hill and I thought my walk-out basement was safe since it's built into the hill. Thank you for what you are doing to help those folks. God bless you.

Its terrible down there. Almost everything in the path is destroyed. I feel like they've probably recovered all the victims now. I actually was down there with our volunteer fire dept from about midnight wed/thur to 2pm Thursday. We were initially assigned to the popular springs area west of Ringgold, then took a break until daybreak and worked the Cherokee Valley area doing search/rescue. I hope for everyone's sake, they never see something like that in their lives, the devastation is just awful.

I lived on Sand Mtn, AL, worked across state line in GA for a few years... my heart is aching, seeing all of the destruction in this beautiful land, some wonderful people have been hurt, terribly so. Sincere thanks to all for your help - be careful.
