Grading is currently going on, on E. Gold St. for an 84 unit apartment complex.

Grading is going on, on York Rd/161, for a Dollar General. York Road is the street that intersects w/Exit 8 of I 85.

A CookOut is planned for York Road, but construction & grading has not started yet.

You're welcome, Sunny. If these jobs or the power plant get some people back to work, I'll be happy.

I suspect that there will be some construction (obviously not as much as Charlotte) in this area because the last 2 exits of the Garden Parkway are going to be just east of town. It will do for this area what they are aiming for it to do in southern Gaston County.

That's why I'm posting these jobs so that people who are currently living in the area, but might not normally hear about the openings will be aware of them. I know that the location isn't great for some people, but if these will tide them over, that's good, & less likely for the construction companies to import workers.

The Kings Mountain Herald ran a jobs section, last week.

Chemetall Foote has a plant in Kings Mountain & will be constructing a 2nd plant. The Kings Mountain facility & the new one will be involved with lithium battery technology. (Lithium is mined in Kings Mountain.)

Here is the company's website. Home: Chemetall Lithium Division - The Lithium Company - The Lithium Supplier

As I have said before, I know that the location is not good for everyone in the metro area. I have not been posting all openings from this area for this reason. However, this involves construction jobs (in addition to the power plant which I posted a few months ago) & later will involve jobs in the new plant.

There will be renovation work going on in the downtown of Kings Mountain. An old building will be renovated to house a new restaurant.
