So my mom is coming to visit next week and to kill some time, I was going to take her on the Lynx to uptown.
Can anyone suggest somewhere cool to take her that you walk to from the Lynx rail line? She is old and can't walk miles, so something close?
I was thinking lunch somewhere and a museum or something? Maybe a ride on the trolley?
What are your suggestions for a route to take?

There are tons of restaurants at the Epicenter (CTC/Arena Station), ranging from Jason's Deli (basic) to Fleming's ($50 steaks). There is also a seafood place (LaVecchia's) in Seventh Street Station. Around the corner on College Street there is a nice Chinese place (SoHo Bistro) and a soul food place (Mert's) There's also the Museum of the New South (History) on the corner of Seventh and College.

Right at the end of the line you are next door to the Museum of the New South - it's an awesome museum, maybe you could take her there?

Pike's Soda Shop is awesome, and it's right across the street from the light rail stop in SouthEnd.

Stole my idea! We did this with my 3 year old last weekend to get a yummy milkshake! They also have a good Sunday brunch buffett.

I would second this post. As others have mentioned Pike's is good as well. If you wanted to mix it up, you could get off at Pike's eat, get back on and go to 7th street exit to enoy the museum. Have fun!

Near the Bland Street Station, there is the Greek Isles Restaraunt, and the stop before that (East/West Blvd) lets you off near Prices Chicken Coop (outstanding).
