Hi everybody,
I am a realestate agent looking to move to the Charlotte area. I don't want to be downtown but would like to be 30-45 minutes from Charlotte. My husband is a siding sub-contractor. We are hoping that with our careers, this will be a good move. We were wondering if anyone has any idea what siders are paid per square and per foot for soffit and fascia. Also, where is the best area to go for renting a house. We need good schools and if we find a good area, will buy a house in about a year. How good is the real estate market there? Is it going to be super hard for me to start all over again there?

Welcome to Charlotte!

I made the move a year and some months ago and its been harder than expected but still positive. It was sure nice having business I didn't have to work to get but I've been building my SOI to have that again.

Not sure as to what a sider gets paid down here but there's tons of work to be had with all of the builders. New Construction is big from Rock Hill SC to Hickory, NC as this area has been one of the fastest growing for many years.

For schools, I recommend ReDir as it should give you a good idea.

The market here is doing great. This area never took off like the rest of the country but it is now. We're up 10% this year over last and the large amount of people moving here is driving that. There's homes priced $50,000 to $10,000,000 so there's a house for almsot everyone that desires.
