They had two officers standing on the corner of N. Tryon and 4th waving all the out of towners over who made the right turn from N. Tryon to 4th - had 4-5 cars pulled over at a time. Made a mess (bigger) of traffic because the buses couldn't pull out of the traffic lanes to pick people up!

If you can't avoid uptown, watch out for the revenuers!!!

for everyone person who thinks like you, there is another person who thinks like them and is glad they are doing SOMETHING about a traffic issue.

This thread is pointless.

Had it been any other city, they would have done the very same thing.

Criticize the police and call them revenuers but if you break the law/rules
then why shouldn't you be held accountable?

I guess the tongue in cheek doesn't come across well here - I do believe that everyone should obey the rules. However, I also find it a bit "opportunistic" to pick a weekend when a lot of people are here from out of town, confused, and just trying to find their way in an unfamiliar city. Whatever, I didn't mean it as harsh as it's been taken. I also meant it as a warning for folks driving uptown, since bad traffic often causes even locals to do things that they might not otherwise.
