Anyone know of any good Thrift Stores/Goodwill stores in South Charlotte or like off of 74(Independence) that carry baby items as well as any name brand clothing like Hollister or Abercrombie?

There's also a children's consignment just north of the intersection of 51 and Monroe Rd. I can't remember the name offhand, but it's the only thing open in a small strip mall on the west side of Monroe Rd. just north of Hwy 51. I've gotten a bunch of things there...pretty nice stuff.

If you can wait until February, there will be a Mothers of Multiples consignment sale up at the Ag grounds or whatever that is just north of the city. Amazing deals on all sorts of kid stuff. Sorry I can't remember but here's a link to the organization's website for more info. Best of luck!

I don't think anyone can tell you that a particular thrift store will have name brand clothing. You would be better off with consignment stores for that.

There are 2 that I can think of off hand. One is in Matthews called Karousel Kids. Another is in Waxhaw called Here We Grow Again.

Rugged Warehouse on 51 carries Hollister (or used to). Not sure about for children, but some of their clothes are so tight fitting, they probably would fit a kid.

I'm not sure about baby items but the Goodwill in South Charlotte/Pineville usually has very nice clothes.

Default Try Palto's Closet

Try Plato's Closet. It's no goodwill, but it'll have the designer stuff you're looking for. I've been to the store in Winston once, so I don't know much about them.

"Here We Grow Again" in Waxhaw, NC (Union County)is an excellent consignment boutique. I highly recommend it if you are looking for infant/toddler clothing and other items. I went there a couple of times when I visited (and always bought something everysingle time) and wished they had a consignment store like this where I live. You can shop even with your kids (they have a play area) Excellent quality items and a very friendly, and neat and organized store. Great prices. Highly recommend it. Try it out...
