Rain would be my guess, but how much? I shoveled about 10 inches of snow when I got up this morning and it is still coming down pretty heavy. The weather report says we may get sleet and/or freezing rain this afternoon.

I'm glad we didn't get any tornados. I was up all night with my weather radio at my side. LOL

The Weather Channel said that Charlotte received about 3.4" of rain. Here in Gastonia, maybe 3.2"...all I know is that it rained like cats and dogs...yesterday, I took a drive to South Carolina down 321 and before you cross over Crowders Creek, there's a big pasture...when it's warmer, you can sometimes spot horses and cows out there. That entire pasture--it's huge, mind you--was covered in deep water and Crowders Creek was like Crowders Rapids or something. It was amazing...I've never seen rushing water like that around these parts.

A soccer field on Hwy 84 was flooded- then across the street (where they are building a brand new subdivision) there was flooding going on there as well. I know the area has flooded before but I hadn't seen it that bad. I was shocked at the field. I think if it had rained more the water would've washed over the road.

The wind was crazy on Thurs. night- I was waiting on the tornado's. It was pretty windy here today as well.
