I like to remind everyone that there are ways of helping even if you don't have time to volunteer directly. Taking even one can of food to a food bank or the Salvation Army helps! It is really important to spend a couple of extra dollars to buy a few cans of food so someone else who is going thru/ tough times can feed their families . . . every can of food helps someone!!!

The people of Charlotte have always had a generous spirit Our annual Crop Walk is the largest in the country raising the most money for feeding the hungry and our Habitat for Humanity is one of the most active in the nation. But there are countless other ways people here volunteer their time. I do agree Sunny that our strong faith community is the reason why.
