Just a bit of trivia; when I was at TJ the other day with my Aldi bag, the clerk told me that when they were in training, they were told that the founders of TJ & Aldi were brothers; one wanted an upscale-type of store and the other didn't!

Brian, the Aldi is just a little bit north of the TJ on Mallard Creek; across from the HT (the second one on Mallard Creek...except, I think that it is Prosperity Church at that point.

Thanks S/B. Yeah, I'm familiar w/ Trader Joes and love them. I've just never been to one in NC. I'm not too far from the one on Rae Rd. and need to get over there soon. I hear they have a decent red wine called three buck chuck ? In Maryland, you couldn''t buy beer and wine in grocery stores, so I never tried it.
I was complaining about prices of groceries, (Oh no!!! I'm becoming my parents) and two people mentioned Aldi's so I think I'll try them.
Brian, what chips do you mean ? I've always liked the toasted sesame stix.

Just the regular lightly salted potato chips. Nothing fancy. I'm a sucker for those chips.

I've been buying from Trader Joe's for years & from Aldi even longer. I don't like everything at Aldi, but I don't like everything at any store (except Trader Joe's, so far). Well, now wait, I lie. I tried some tofurkey, out of curiosity. That was nasty.

Have you had the chips with the flax seed?

I had the tortilla chips with the flax seed and those are great!!!!

Chicubs: I know about that Aldi but there's one a few minutes away from me at Concord Commons, next to the big Walmart. I've never been in it though.

Can't be as bad as John Denver and Julie Andrews singing Eidelweiss.

You're welcome, Doorway, LOL, well, then I beat ya to it.

I have several of TJ's thermal bags & plenty of freezer packs, so even in the heat of summer, I can drive to Charlotte occasionally, do a stock-up at Trader Joe's & hit some retail that's not out here & go home & everything will be fine when I get home.

Watch the video I caught yesterday. If that doesn't take a piece of your soul then nothing will.
