Exxon at S. Tryon and Arrowood at Whitehall Commons. $3.859/gallon and no waiting! Plus the coffee was pretty good.
That's good to hear. They were one of the first Steele Creek stations to run out of gas. This moning the stations near Rivergate were selling regular for $4.19.

I'm curious...............

How is the shortage effecting school buses? Is there a special area reserve for school (diesel) fuel?

I am sitting in downtown Charlotte and I have such little gas in my car that I am very scared to take any more trips out to find fuel. I have been out and have yet to find a place to even sit in line and wait for gas.

If anyone can tell me of a place that definitely has gas this evening within a 10 mile ride from downtown I would greatly appreciate it. If I have to go beyond 10 miles and find nothing... I might be stuck.
Gasbuddy.com isn't coming up with any stations in the downtown area.

Burgandy,

No worries. I was able to find some myself. But I was stupid and just got in line at the Providence & Ardrey Kell station, since I saw a bunch of cars waiting.

I didn't realize there was no gas to be had until a very nice lady drove by and told everyone that there wasn't any. I was only in line for a couple of minutes and hadn't realized yet that the line wasn't moving.

Lesson learned...make sure the station you're waiting in line for actually has gas to sell before you get comfy waiting.

Going on where? You must not be from around here, I guess...

Drove up and down S. Tryon and parts of Pineville Matthews today - no gas at about seven or eight stations, and that was as late as 5pm. I doubt they get deliveries on Sundays.

Sam's Club also out of gas when I was there at 5pm.

The reason we are getting what gas we have is b/c tankers have been bringing it in from other areas . . . Otherwise, the flow from the pipeline is very slow and until the storage tanks reach a certain level, they can't fill up tanker trucks.
