Providence Division Officers arrest suspect involved in Auto Thefts, Burglaries and Larceny from Autos

Please do not reply to this email.

This morning Providence Division officers arrested Charles McCoy on Burglary warrants in the 3400 block of Burkland Drive. McCoy is suspected in a string of Auto Thefts, Residential Burglaries and Larceny from Autos. Detectives were looking for McCoy due to him recently pawning several GPS units at area pawn shops.

Yesterday morning, 7/17/ 08, Providence Division officers working a burglary suppression operation spotted McCoy in the area of 5th and 6th streets but were not able to detain him. A short while later, a residential B&E occurred on Sterling Road. A citizen witnessed the B&E and the suspect description matched officers’ earlier observation of McCoy. Burglary detectives conducted a photo lineup and the witness positively identified McCoy as the person who committed the burglary. Burglary warrants were obtained for McCoy yesterday afternoon.

Just before 2:00 A. M. this morning, police were called to Creekbed Lane in the South Division to a report of a suspect breaking into cars. Several officers were already in the area looking for McCoy and quickly responded to the scene. As officers arrived, a black Acura was leaving the scene and veered toward the officers’ cars. The officers were able to get the tag of the Acura. It came back to a car stolen off Colville road on July 14th. Due to the suspect’s excessive speed, officers were not able to pursue the stolen vehicle. The vehicle was last seen on South Boulevard where a Steele Creek Division officer clocked it on radar at 95 miles per hour.

At approximately 10:30 this morning, Providence Division officers went to an address on Burkland Drive where, based on information from a community contact, they believed McCoy to be living. Officers apprehended McCoy at this address.

The stolen Acura was recovered approximately two hours later on 5th Street near the area where officers observed McCoy yesterday. The vehicle is currently being processed by Crime Scene Search.

Subsequent investigation on Creekbed Lane revealed that five unlocked vehicles had been entered. Physical evidence located during McCoy’s arrest possibly links him to stolen Acura seen fleeing the scene.

This investigation is continuing.

ROFL. Yes, Loves, he sure is. He is a festering boil, if you ask me.

Okay, folks, is it going to be another revolving door w/ this guy??? Please, tell me NO! I am so in favor of three strikes, you are out! Look at this guy - 2 assaults w gun; stolen vehicle. I say - that should be enuff to put him behind bars for 50 years. I am sick of this. Assault w/ gun? Did anyone get shot? If he has done it 2 x and got caught for it - how many times has he gotten away w/ pulling a gun on someone? And next time - who will get shot?

What a creep.

Thanks, Scotsman, for posting this! Cheers my heart.

The judge should be arrested for obstruction of justice.

In cases like this, I can never understand why there is any attention paid to proper police procedure for pieces of human debris like McCoy. They should have chased him down, and shot him dead. The applause would be deafening. If the family tries to sue, throw them in jail. If Sharpton shows up, stone him. Unfortunately, rats like McCoy are rarely caught in the act, by an armed homeowner with the will to shoot. But, maybe I'm being too harsh here. It just may be that we, society, failed this waste of protoplasm. WE should have done more! We should have GIVEN him a car, opened our doors and let him take whatever he wants. It's only fair, since we did something wrong along the way. Maybe this is why the courts, who represent all of us, will let him go yet again. Oh, that guilty feeling...not from the trash named McCoy, or the family (McCoy, Johnson, whatever), but from the rest of us. Poor little Charlie McCoy, born behind the eight ball Charlie McCoy, no doubt from a well educated, church goin, god fearin, loving, law abiding, working couple who have tried and tried to do the right thing for little Charlie "Chuckles" McCoy all along the way, keeping a watchful eye over their pride and joy, keeping him away from gangs, and guns, and thugs, always emphasizing the value of a good education and obeying the law. And then WE, society at large, fail him, and force him into a life of crime, undoing all that good work. SHAME on us (collectively). You can see from his rap sheet that Chuck is really trying BECAUSE there aren't HUNDREDS of crimes (well, at least the crimes he's been caught for). A real peach he is.

I've said this before, WE owe McCoy NOTHING, not a single thought, or afterthought, EXCEPT a long jail sentence, with the possibility of McCoy not surviving till release. This goes for all the other Charlies out there too.

Maybe if we make enough of a case, we could have O'Reilly FoxNews get his honchos with a mike and camera after these judges, like he does it for the governor of Vermont.
