We are looking into relocating to Huntersville. I am a licensed electrician on Long Island , 20 years experience. I have received informatioin from different salary comparisions sitesOon what I would earn there. one site says staring around $40,000 and another $50,000. Looking for fulltime with company with no lay offs. I know I WILL NOT earn waht I am earning here but, Need to know what to realistically expect.

You could check out Lake Electric....I see their trucks EVERYWHERE!
Also, the cost of living here is much less than Long Island...so you should get along much better even not making what you're making there.....
