Anyone know where to get some in town. I want to go there next week to the waterpark. Usually there are grocery stores or someone who has $5 or $10 coupons around town.

I know for a fact the State Employees Credit Union (SECU) has discounts for not just Carowinds but for Emerald Point Water Park and some other Amusement Parks in the area. They offer huge discounts as well!

Yes, you can buy the discounted tickets at Harris Teeter. I had a friend in town recently and we bought them there.

Is it me, or did they jack their prices up about $15 per person? I seem to remember paying $240 for a family of four last year, and now it's $300. Now is a good time to raise prices with the economy the way it is? Really?

Does Carowinds have any deals like these two:

1- At Dollywood if you buy a full-price ticket after 3pm you can come back for free the next day.

2- SixFlags Great America used to sell "twickets" really cheap that basically allowed you to come back the next day.

3- Does Carowinds have an afternoon/evening price at a reduced rate? If you use that to get in can you then by the discounted 2nd day return ticket as well?

PS: The waterpark is included in the Carowinds admission price, correct?

[]Carowinds | North and South Carolina's Themed Amusement Park

Website says the tickets are cheaper if you buy them online.

$36.99 for regular tickets
$21.99 for Junior/Senior tickets

There is a bit of a trick that I probably should not reveal, but....

The first time you use a seasons pass you are supposed to go have a photo made and they give you a different card. Your new card will NOT have your photo on it, but when you return to the park to use it, the attendant will see your picture on their computer when they scan your card for entry.
They obviously do this to make the seasons passes non-transferable.

They never strongly enforce going to get your picture taken, and you can use the original retail pass all season.
We buy passes every year, and my wife never gets her picture taken, this way my mother, or one of my childrens' friends can use it.
So, theoretically, unlimited families could chip in on the seasons passes, do not have the photos taken, and just share them throughout the season for very reasonable cost.
Say five families of four go in on the passes, that is around $15/pp and everyone could go several times throughout the season for that price.
