I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned. Has anyone been to the Wachovia Championship here in Charlotte this week? What do you think? I've been Wednesday and Thursday and will be there tomorrow. This gorgeous weather certainly adds to this "Marquis Event" that seems to outdo itself year after year here in our beautiful city...

Thoughts?

Went to the Pro-Am day Weds...my first time at Quail Hollow. Beautiful course, well organized. Much better than being at work! Some of those houses, especially along the 14/15th fairways (I think - on the other side of the lake) are insanely big. There were buildings that looked to be guest houses/pool houses that had to be 4000+ SF...

Volunteer at the tournament every year. Was out on the course Tue for the practice round. Fun time but very cold. Wed pro-am was good. Thursday play was very good. The course is in great shape. Don't like all the new seating they put on the course for the elite population. Some of the seats sold for $2-$5k each. Will be back on the course on Sat.

The big house under construction on 14 is John Fox's.

Went yesterday and had a great time!

Hinton't get te chicken sandwich. It was dry as a bone. The cheeseburgers were good though.

Oh! And it said I couldn't bring a purse larger than 6x6, go I crammed all my stuff in this tiny purse and when I get there all the women are carrying huge purses! Of course.

Wear comfy shoes!

There is full menu concessions on:

10th Hole
15th Hole
Two right by the Clubhouse on either side
One by the 9th Hole and 1st Tee
And one by the 6th hole

Beer stands, hot dog, pretzels, and other concessions are dotted throughout.

It's hot dogs, burgers, chicken sandwiches, chicken fingers that kid of stuff. I saw a Crepe stand and there is a Starbucks too. All the beer was Budweiser.
