Hello,

I am moving to Charlotte this July! My friend have suggested South End for late-20 singles like me. The traffice is also said to be minimum as I will be driving out of town in the morning (is it true?).
My workplace is close to S Tyron St and Westinghouse Blvd (outside 485), and I will drive to work. I have a loose budget up to $1500 and target commute time around 30minutes as I decide to live in town.
What do you think of South End? and any difference between the east side of South Blvd and the west side of it? Are there other neighborhoods that I should explore? Really appreciate your input!

South End, NODA, or Plaza Midwood

We chose NODA, because we like the laid back vibe, walkability and nearby breweries. We really like PM as well, just couldn't find living arrangements there that we liked. South End we thought was too young/ and frat like, personally (we are more "mature", than you) so that may be your scene? Good luck!

Thank you for the info! I don't know I am mature enough or not but I am surely not frat-like...

NODA and Midwood are too far from my work place. Sounds like South End is the best option. Thank you for the info!

The west side of South Blvd will have more options and be closer to the light rail. The east side around Dilworth is very nice as well.
