I'm new to this site so bear with me if I'm not following the rules.

My husband and I have 2 kids, ages 3 and 5 years and we would like to move from Milwaukee, WI to a warmer climate. The winters here are brutal. My husband and I love the Carolinas and we also love the city life so that's how we narrowed our search to Charlotte. The biggest concern I have is the job market. My husband is a teacher and I'm a speech therapist. How are jobs in the schools and the hospitals?

Are people friendly here? How are the schools? We're Catholic and would likely look for a Catholic school. Is it a nice place to raise a family? We're looking for a community where you can walk to lots of places and not have to rely on cars so much. Neighborhoods with sidewalks would also be a plus.

We of course would visit a few times and secure jobs before a big move. Any input in this initial planning phase would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Agreed, perhaps a mod could move it for them?

Also, we need a price range in order to make suggestions for neighborhoods!
