I look at the maps of crimes committed in China Grove, on a real estate website, and it seems that on every other corner there are drug crimes or other crimes.
Is it something to be concerned about, or is it a matter of, if you mind your business, everybody else minds theirs?

I've never heard anything specifically bad about China Grove, been in the area for 6 years. Hopefully a local to that town will chime in.

Thank you. I decided to look at my own area via that real estate crime map, and it occurred to me that people may get the wrong impression about my neighborhood that way, also.
Where do you live, if you don't mind my asking? I have relatives in NC and am thinking of relocating when I retire soon.

I live in Mooresville, which is just west of China Grove not too far. China Grove always seemed like a sleepy little town when I pass through as I'm going to other places that way.

Thanks again, I'll have to check out Mooresville, also.

Mooresville is a very safe place, people are friendly, polite and nice. There is a ton of facilities for a happy retirement life (golf, lake, club, etc ..)
The tax is still reasonable, cost of living is affordable
In my own opinion, it can be one of excellent places to setlling in for the retirement.

Very few points can be considered as negative are:
- Traffic between Mooresville and Charlotte
- Cost of flight tickets from and to Charlotte

Also note that China Grove will be an easier commute to Uptown than Mooresville.
