Where's a good upscale romantic restaurant in Charlotte? No italian and no chain restaurants please. I came from South Florida so our restaurant choices were vast and plentiful along with the standard- Capital grille, ruty chris's, mccormicks of the world. Just looking for a nice place where people wear suits and no jeans great for Valentine's day. Any suggestions???

Noble's in South Park. Melting pot if you like fondue. However they allow jeans.

My wife and I normally avoid the crowds and stay-in on the 14th and apparently it's becoming more and more common - last year we had trouble getting a reservation on the weekend following V.D. and the restaurants were telling me it was because of "spill-over" from the 14th.

I, too, have heard great things about Noble's at Southpark - there have got to be dozens of threads devoted to good Charlotte eateries.....and isn't Melting Pot a chain?
