Wanted to know what are some nice subdivisions in the price range of 175,000-225,000. We have a 1 year old and safety is high priority. Also, how is the nursing market. I am a Registered Nurse labor/delivery? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

You may want to consider Settler's Landing, Brightmoor (Matthews), Weddington Ridge (also Matthews), Oak Ridge, Raintree, Landen Meadows, Southampton. (These are mostly in the south/southeast area) I'm not sure about the nursing market, but I would try the major hospital systems -- Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) and Presbyterian. Best of luck in your move, and please let me know if I can help in any way.

Cabarrus County would be worth a look. The schools are some of the best in NC, it's safe, taxes are low, lots to do, and good freeway access to Charlotte. The health care industry in general seems to be very strong everywhere. Concord (here in Cabarrus Co.) has a very good hospital, Northeast Medical Center. It's really growing and is ranked as one of the nation's top 100 hospitals. Good luck!

In your price range you would have more choices in the areas north of Charlotte like Huntersville, or along Mt. Holly/Huntersville Road. Many good hospitals here, I feel certain an experienced nurse would have no problem getting a job.
