Anyone live in or near Stephens Grove in Huntersville or know much about it?

That area off Beatties Ford is nice. Traffic is picking up all the time there. How long can the owners with mass land hold out would be my question.

Most of all parts of that part of Beatties Ford is ok for quality of life. You will experience some school traffic heading to Uptown from Brawley Middle School that subdivision is surrounded by Stephens Road Preserve and Latta Preserve so you dont have to worry about a new development in your back yard

Bradley Middle School

At the beginning of Stephens road still has plenty of land that could be sold one day.

I see the new Elementry School going up as well. I was hoping there would be a little retail cloaser than up to Sam Furr or down Gilead. They could use at least a Walgreens, Gas Station and Fast Food Joint. OK if not.. I see across the area is huge farmland, so who knows then they sell and a new community pops up. I am curious to see if some of these single lane main arteries become dual or 3 lane soon. They have to right?

I was just correcting you on the school name

Back in the early '90's they were trying to get a Food Lion style village going there where the couple of mobile homes are.... across the street. The neighbors in that area petitioned and that was the end of it. It's going to happen sometime just when is the question. IMO that stuff will be built more up on Sam Furr near the VFD.

At some point it will become 4 lanes. Remember it was not to long ago that exit 25 and Birkdale were not even there. We used to ride dirt bikes all through there. This was back in the early 90's.

Huntersville and long time residents want to preserve that part of Beatties Ford Road.
I dont know if Harris Teeter is still fighting zoning of building a store beside Tanner Creek subdivision.
There was a rumor about a Shell station going at the corner of Beatties Ford and Mt Holly Huntersville Road.
Ideal spot IMO for a shopping center on one of those corners.

When you have time feel free to read this Beatties Ford Road Corridor Plan (it rather large and I hate large pdf files) http://www.huntersville.org/Planning%20Info/beatties%20ford%20corridor/01%20BFRCSAP%2018Dec07%20-%20Title-Executive%20Summary.pdf (broken link) It will tell you about future road proposals and development proposals for that area.

(qcmisfit your apology is accepted and hope you accept mine I never paid that close attention to that school except that is where I go vote. Sorry, and thank you for the correction)
