How would you define "CLT"? No way you get from Weddington to uptown in 45 minutes during the school year.

We don't care about property taxes in OH or the Northeast, we care about property taxes in UC, NC. If you are willing to pay more, please do so but don't think that the rest of us are taking the tax increase topic so casually... especially when UCPS has shown complete financial incompetence in the past.

i also live in the Weddington area and commute near the airport area, i don't know if you are taking a helicopter or not, but i am still on 485 at 8 am after leaving at around 7 am….no one said "taxed to death", the original poster said taxes are going up, which they are, so his post was ACCURATE….you should not be at risk for redistricting???? i am sure most of us "choose wisely" and have been redistricted 3-4 times over the past 8 yrs, so i am curious in what you define as "choosing wisely". Unless you are insinuating that people who got redistricted are somehow less intelligent than yourself, because you got lucky and did not get redistricted

I live in Indian Trail and we love it. We can make it to the airport in about 40 minutes regularly, not sure about rush hour, but we take backroads. We do have good schools. They did redistrict this year, but I don't think it effected our side of the county like it did the other side. Ours was very minimal. Our homes have appreciated in value and we are in a new neighborhood, houses are being built everyday. I have lived in this are for 6 years and can't imagine going anywhere else. It takes about 35 minutes to get to Lancaster.

You need to be looking in Fort Mill..

Weddington requires one-acre lots for homes, and a lot of new neighborhoods are under construction. It's convenient to Lancaster, and to I485 for commutes to the airport. Are you working with a local realtor who knows about Union County neighborhoods and schools?
Thanks for the information. Can you provide the names of some of the subdivisions that require 1 acre lots? This is definitely the property size that my family is seeking. I have not started to work with a realtor yet. Would like to do some amount of looking on my own without the pressure and then move to a realtor.
