January at the earliest for snow that sticks to the ground in Charlotte.
I am sure the weather men will predict an Ice Blast at least once a month for our area, however.
So, even if there is no snow, the Ice Blast predictions will have the shelves on the grocery store empty.

I don't consider it a hard freeze though, until it kills annual vines like tomato plants, and shakes the remaining leaves off the oaks.

After that happens we still often get a nice week somewhere in December, before winter sets in for the season.

It didn't last year at all. It usually snows enough to be a hassle at least a few times a season. Which is to say not much, but there isn't enough equipment here to clean it up.

The "Snow Emergency" scene from King of the Hill, does have a lot of truth to it in the southeast:

It snowed last February. We got a lot in Waxhaw, enough to go sledding.

Yep, I was in Weddington last Winter and we got snow at least twice that I remember. Melted away after a few days but it was fun.

Oh my, I can't wait. I only saw snow once, and it didn't stick, I am used to beach sand.
