Charlotte is a large city with many many many safe areas. Where are you working specifically? (just cross streets, don't have to give exact address)

zip code is 28269, somewhere near the north lake mall will be nice if they suits my requirements. I will have to travel once a month as well so accessibility to airport is also preferred but dont want to compromise on place just to be near to airport.

I'm not familiar with that area but have family in Huntersville which is safe and kid friendly. You can look there and others more familiar might chime in. If not search this forum for university area, concord or cabbarus county.

Northlake is a good safe area and short commute to the airport.
Beauty of this location in case there traffic backup on I-77 its almost the same distance taking I-485.

Over the last few years I have been taking pictures of all the new apartments in Northlake area.
If my memory serves one of them has a day care center , Long view or Long Creek maybe, It not something I focus on.
The mall which is across the street does have 2,000 square-foot Looney Tunes Play Area. They can climb, crawl and jump on their favorite Looney Tunes characters. The Play Area is located on the lower level near Dick's Sporting Goods..

Here is pictures I took and most ll near each other of Nortlake Pkwy they are in 28216 zip code

There are many many apartment complexes along the west end of WT Harris road on that side of town. I had a 2 BR off Mallard Creek Rd for $760 a month in 2003. Figuring inflation since then, my guess would be 2 BR's now are over $900 out there.

It can help to pick up a copy of Apartment Guide the next time you're here exploring.
