Hi all,
This forum has been extremely helpful and our family is really excited about making a move to Charlotte. My husband and I are making a quick trip this weekend to check out neighborhoods in both the Lake Norman and Union County areas. Any suggestions on Neighborhoods that can't be missed? We are looking to spend about 250-300k.

Just be aware this is race weekend at Lowes Motor Sweedway - there are thousands of race fans in town
Yes, if you stay away from the NE area of Charlotte, you'll be fine (I'm less than 5 minutes from the track) . That's where the hub of the race traffic will be. The rest of the city shouldn't be a problem.
You have quite a few options in Union County -- try Hunter Oaks, Prescot, Quellin, Wesley Oaks, Callonwood, Cureton -- same comment as Charlotte agent, just let me know if you want to get into a house you see listed
We just relocated here from near Erie, PA--where part of PA are you from? My hubby originally from Pittsburgh--Go Steelers!
