Hi, I am moving to Charlotte soon for a new job and was hoping to get some info on the city. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and need to find an affordable house for rent. ($650-$700 for the high end) but I am having problems. What is a safe neighborhood for a single woman? I will be working at night and so would be walking dogs at 3am. Not the best situation, but one I had to make for a better job. Also, does anyone know any pet friendly landlords? I take good care of my pets and they have never been destructive or nuisances. What are good neighborhoods to look into? I will be working around the airport area. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You will have extreme difficulty finding a good home in a safe area to rent in that range in Charlotte. If you cannot spend at least bare minimum of $950, look to live outside of Charlotte in either Gastonia or one of its surrounding little towns in Gaston county. The good news is that the commute to the airport from Gaston county is not bad

Walking your dogs at 3am in ANY neighborhood is not a good idea. There are lots of dog walking services in town though. I use Metro Paws daycare a couple days a week for extra exercise also.
