With Maxwells, I don't think a Hickory Tavern is needed. I'd prefer to see Maxwells expand.
I heard a rumor before the crash that Target was going into the Prescot area. Obviously I took it with a grain of salt. I think between Blakeney and WC, there isn't a need for that.
FYI, Hickory Tavern is opening near the Sun Valley movie theater sometime between July and September.
I think a nice outdoor mall like Shoppes on Providence would be nice. Lots of green space, a place for summer concerts, some ice cream and coffee shops. Crossroads isn't very appealing.
If there can be a Target in Blakeney and another in Stonecrest, then we can have a Target on Providence. The Target in Blakeney and WC are 15 minutes away. Hardly close.
15 minutes is actually quite close, especially when there are TWO of the same stores within that radius.
I agree. If people wanted convenience, Waxhaw was not the right choice. It's that simple. I don't mean to sound abbrasive, I just don't understand why so many transplants (I am a transplant myself) want convenieces within 5 minutes. If that was a criteria when looking for a home, then Waxhaw should have been scratched off the list. Let the quaint equestrian community remain what it has always been. If you want something different, there are other, great places to look.
