I was wondering if anyone can give me some reviews on Davis Regional Medical Center. I just moved to the Charlotte area and from what I can tell, the only facility willing to allow me to do a VBA2C is Natural Beginnings Birth Center. However, they will only allow me to birth at the hospital due to it being a VBA2C. What I'm trying to determine, since I can't seem to find much about it anywhere else, is what people really feel about this hospital and the care they provide. I want to have my child naturally, but not in a facility that I wouldn't normally walk into with confidence.

If your obstetrician is willing to work with you to try a VBAC after 2 sections, the question is whether s/he has privileges at Davis. That said, the nursing care is phenomenal.

Thanks. I have checked and the OB does have privileges at Davis. I just haven't heard much on Davis Regional and the little I have heard has been 50/50. Also, it seems to be a love or hate for the facility. Do you mind me asking if you had a baby at Davis Regional or if you are familiar with their nursing care for another reason?

I've had a couple of coworkers that drove a decent ways to have their baby there. Obviously that's only a couple of instances but they were very happy. I'd suggest checking out the Lake Norman Mommies message board to get a lot more opinions from a good base of people. Good luck!
