Hi everyone. I live up in Highland Creek (near Huntersville) and have a friend who lives up in Sherrills Ford (Lake Norman). We like to meet in between (as much as possible) for play dates for our kids (1 and 2 years old). Are there any NICE parks that are friendly to little kids (with the smaller playgrounds) near Birkdale Village or around that area? I've been here about a year but am not very familiar with areas outside my immediate area.

Thanks in advance!

Here is a web link to the parks in the north area
Park and Rec North District (http://www.charmeck.org/Departments/Park+and+Rec/Parks/Parks+By+District/North+District/home.htm - broken link)

I wouldnt consider Blythe a park just a fancy boat dock with volley ball nets and few picnic table and I definitely dont remember playground.

North Mecklenburg is nice park I am not sure how old it is but it looks rather new. Restroom facilities right near the playground for those emergencies.

Ramsey and Jetton are nice but if you dont mind paying to use the park go during the week when it is free.

Blythe has a nice play structure for older kids--definitely not for young children though, and no swings at all.

Default And apparently no longer relevant....

Since people stopped reproducing 😁😁😁
The OP may not care any longer but it's still clearly good info for others.
